Restrictors for UPVC, composite & timber doors
Door restrictors answer two main issues:
Cables/chains restrict the door opening to a few centimetres, meaning you can leave your door ajar for ventilation, but without running the risk of inviting intruders into your home.
At the other end of the spectrum are those restrictors that will prevent the door opening past 90°. In high traffic office environments these accessories will prevent doors swinging back and hitting walls damaging paintwork and risking breaking any inbuilt glazing. Many of these items come with a ‘hold open’ facility; meaning that when pushed to maximum, the door will stay open before closing in a controlled manner: again a great added safety feature to reduce the likelihood of trapped fingers.
